Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Ambassador Syndoph Paebi Endoni, alongside members of the Nigerian community in the Ouagadougou on Monday evening played host to Edo Queens FC, Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, and leader of Edo State government delegation Emperor Jarrett Tenebe in a mount watering special dinner at the Nigerian Embassy in Burkina Faso.
Edo Queens are currently in Burkina Faso representing Nigeria at the 2026 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, where they are pursuing West African football glory and a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The dinner provided an opportunity for Ambassador Endoni and the Nigerian community delegation to interact with the Edo Queens and government delegation to the WAFU-B tournament where he offered words of encouragement and support to the team ahead of their crucial Semifinals fixtures on Wednesday.
 He said,” You are in Burkina Faso representing Nigeria and not only Edo state. So, we have the courtesy to receive you as a contingent representing our country Nigeria.” He said.
Speaking during the reception, the Executive Chairman,Edo State Sports Commission Hon Amadin Desmond Enabulele expressed appreciation to Ambassador Endoni and members of the Nigerian community in Burkina Faso for the warmth reception and thoughtful gesture.
He commended the Ambassador and the community for their continued support for Edo Queens, noting that such gestures provide a morale boost to the players and officials representing the country abroad.
Enabulele and APC chairman Emperor Jarrett Tenebe have been with the Edo Queens delegation in Burkina Faso for over a week now, providing support as the Nigerian champions continue their campaign for a successful outing and qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
