Armed thugs have allegedly kidnapped the 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore.
He was reportedly kidnapped after the thugs attacked him and his associates at a restaurant in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Sowore, who is also a human rights activist, raised the alarm in a post shared on his Facebook page on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The activist disclosed that the attackers stormed the restaurant where they were staying and launched an attack on them.
He further claimed that he had been kidnapped and that his current whereabouts were unknown.
In his Facebook post, Sowore wrote, “Armed thugs kidnap Sowore. His current location is unknown!”
He added, “THUGS JUST ATTACKED US INSIDE A RESTAURANT IN ADO EKITI.”
The Ekiti State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.
