The National Coordinator of Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027), Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, has reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, while urging the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to expand youth empowerment programmes and political appointments.

Ngbako, who is also a serving Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), made the appeal while commending Wike for his infrastructure development efforts in Abuja, particularly the commissioning of the Dunamis pedestrian bridge.

He described the project as an example of responsive leadership and effective collaboration between government and private institutions, noting that Wike’s approval of the project demonstrated a willingness to address longstanding infrastructure and public safety concerns.

According to Ngbako, the application for the bridge had remained unattended for seven years before the FCT minister approved it following its presentation to him in February 2026.

He said President Tinubu made the right decision by appointing Wike as FCT minister, adding that the minister’s infrastructure projects had become a significant feature of the administration’s performance.

However, the ACT-2027 coordinator appealed to Wike to complement his infrastructure agenda with increased opportunities for qualified political stakeholders and young people across the FCT.

He said greater inclusion of youths and competent political actors in governance would strengthen community participation and contribute to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

ACT-2027 Plans Zonal Prayer Breakfasts

As part of efforts to mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, Ngbako announced plans for a series of zonal prayer breakfasts across Northern Nigeria.

He said the programme would commence in the North-West on November 14, followed by Bauchi, and subsequently Jos or Lafia, before culminating in a grand prayer breakfast in Abuja.

According to him, the initiative is designed to bring Christians together to pray for the President, national unity, peace in Northern Nigeria and the country’s progress.

He called on Christian leaders, youth organisations, women’s groups and other supporters of the President to participate in the programme.

Ngbako also highlighted several platforms established to encourage youth participation in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

They include the National Gbagyi Youth Integration Festival (National GbagyiFe) for Tinubu Renewed Hope 2027, which covers Niger, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Kogi and the FCT; the FCT Abuja Youth Participation Action Community (FAYPAC 2027); and the Gbagyi Youth Association, FCT Abuja.

He said the initiatives were designed to promote youth integration, political participation, community engagement and awareness of government policies and programmes.

Ngbako Leads Editorial Board of Tinubu Economic Publication

In another development, Ngbako disclosed that he is chairing the Editorial Board of a forthcoming publication titled Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of Economy.

The publication is expected to document the economic policies, reforms and activities of 52 key officials and institutions involved in managing Nigeria’s economy.

Among those expected to feature in the publication are ministers and heads of major institutions, including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), RMAFC and Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

Ngbako said the project would present empirical information on the administration’s economic policies and the contributions of officials responsible for implementing them.

He added that the publication would provide materials for public engagement, help counter misinformation and showcase the administration’s economic reform agenda.

The book launch is expected to take place in Abuja in December, with stakeholders, including Wike, being invited to support and promote the project.

Ngbako reiterated that ACT-2027 would continue to pursue grassroots mobilisation through youth engagement, prayer initiatives, political participation and public communication ahead of the 2027 elections.

Wike Explains Seven-Year Delay in Bridge Approval

Meanwhile, speaking at the commissioning of the Dunamis pedestrian bridge, Wike commended Dunamis International Gospel Centre, particularly the Enenche family, for investing in public infrastructure through its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The minister disclosed that the application for the project was first submitted in 2018 but remained unattended until February 2026, when it was brought to his attention.

He said approval was subsequently granted within weeks.

“The application was made in 2018. It was in February 2026 when I was reminded. In less than a month you received approval. It means there is a government,” Wike said.

He described the project as evidence that private organisations could complement government efforts in addressing infrastructure gaps and improving residents’ welfare.

Wike also approved a request for the bridge to be roofed and made additional commitments towards improving the facility.

He urged residents to make proper use of the pedestrian bridge, stressing that such infrastructure was essential to preventing avoidable road accidents and protecting lives.

Formally commissioning the facility, the minister said: “As it has been constructed by Dunamis as its social responsibility as approved by me, I hereby commission this in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

The project underscores the importance of collaboration between government and private institutions in providing public infrastructure and improving pedestrian safety across the Federal Capital Territory.
