Sometimes, it feels as though the greater number of Nigerians deserve the life/leaders they have. In my opinion, Nigerians are irredeemable. This is why I successfully removed my mind from actively thinking of ways to make Nigeria better and how to bring in my own quota.
VDM is currently in China. He has given his audience a tour in some production companies which has birthed new business ideas and spurred interest in people that have the capital but have no idea on what to do with the money they have. He has liaised with business owners there to see how he can make it possible for Nigerians to have access to the products they manufacture and even went further to get them to give him their assurance on the quality of these products.
I have seen so many people complain about this and I cannot understand how they are unhappy with this development. The average Nigerian is selfish and does not care about his neighbor. He only thinks of how to enrich himself.
Every importer knows why the cost of imported goods goes higher when it gets into the importers country. VDM has only given interested buyers the basic information on how much the items are worth in the hands of the producers.
He also said how much he would be selling his products. He never told another person how much to sell theirs. I am curious to understand why people are angry at this development.
Are we angry that we have an idea on how much it is sold for at the point of production or we are disappointed that inflation may be curbed due to this information?
Why are we triggered by this development?
Only an importer truly knows how much their products cost after all expenses has been made to get it to its selling point.
VDM is a man that has shown genuine interest in Nigeria and her many problems. I see a man who genuinely wants to ease the burden of his people. What you think of his personality is your problem but I dare to say that, his personality brought him this far.
He has a provocative voice that gets your attention and someone pressures you to do the right thing. Isn’t that why he is who he is?
I do not like people with watered down personality. I am always thrilled by people who call things by their original names and would be willing to go all the way out ,if trouble stirs from there.
I like VDM. I am a fan of the man he is and if tomorrow he becomes that person you predict he would become, I would still love the man he used to be while being disappointed that he became the person you predicted he would eventually be.
