NIGERIA PAST AND PRESENT PRESIDENT AND THEIR CHILDREN:
From 1999 to 2007, μObasanjo ruled as President. The roforofo that we heard about his family during his time as President were mainly personal. At no point in time did his children try to lord over Nigerians.
After Obasanjo, came in Yar’adua. Eventhough his time as President was brief, we did not have to, as Nigerians, bother about his children.
When Yar’adua died, Goodluck Jonathan became President. And during his time it was thesame – his children did not also parade themselves as unofficial leaders of Nigeria.
During the time of Buhari, the Family just enjoyed Nigeria’s collective patrimony in peace, they did not bother us. Apart from their usual family roforofo that they continued to air to the public, the only time I think anything big came about Buhari’s son was when he had an accident and had to be flown out of the Country.
But you see this one, this Tinubu, aside dealing with the unmerited hardship that he has placed on Nigerians, we also have to deal with his family.
His son, the last time, tried to dabble on philosophy. Temu Plato decided to give us a lecture of how Nigerians are trying to bring down his father. And he is always in our faces as if he is the elected one.
Then, there is the Daughter that suddenly wants to own all the market women in Nigeria.
This Coconut Head took over the position from her Grandmother (Because it is a Family Business) in Lagos for a long time now and continued to stay in her lane and keep the people of Lagos under subservience. The Dad became President and boom, she, like her Father, wants the whole Nigeria. Every Market woman must now kowtow to one Family in Lagos… regardless of where they trade.
Tinubu and his Family should do and be going. Dude started unofficially campaigning for second term after one year in office, and we have not known rest or peace ever since.
Let them do and come and be going.
