The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has condoled with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, over the death of their parents.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described the loss of a parent as one of life’s most painful experiences, urging the two leaders to take solace in the enduring legacies left behind by their late loved ones.

He noted that Governor Ododo’s father, the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, lived a life of faith, discipline, and devotion to family and community, while the late Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC National Chairman, was remembered for her commitment to service and her role as a pillar of strength to her family.

Governor Okpebholo prayed that Almighty Allah grants Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo Al-Jannah Firdaus and committed the soul of Mama Lydia Yilwatda to God’s eternal rest.

He further prayed for divine strength and comfort for both the Ododo and Yilwatda families to bear the irreparable loss.

The Governor described their memories as blessings and urged that their lives of service and sacrifice should continue to inspire generations to come.
