The political balance in the Adamawa State House of Assembly has shifted after 15 lawmakers defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to TVC News, defectors include the Speaker of the House.
Their decision was conveyed in a letter read on the floor of the Assembly during a preliminary sitting.
In the letter, the lawmakers attributed their resignation from the PDP to the ongoing internal crisis within the party.
With the development, the APC has now emerged as the majority party in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
