The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of 632,788 candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, on Thursday, April 16.
The Board disclosed that the results are now available for checking, with candidates directed to send UTMERESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
JAMB noted, however, that candidates can only view their results for now, as printing of result slips is not yet available.
In a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., the Board warned candidates and parents against manipulating the SMS results received from its official platforms in an attempt to fabricate or alter scores.
According to JAMB, such acts amount to serious criminal offences and will be treated with the full weight of the law.
The Board revealed that two candidates and one parent are already in custody for allegedly engaging in result falsification through the use of artificial intelligence and other electronic means.
It stressed that any candidate found culpable would face the full consequences of the law.
JAMB added that the 2026 UTME is still ongoing and that more results would be released as they become available.
