A high powered delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has arrived in Uganda for a crucial strategic engagement with the three PAMOJA host nations of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The high-level meetings, scheduled to take place in Kampala from April 22 to 23, will focus on assessing progress and aligning on key delivery priorities ahead of the continental showpiece.
According to CAF, the two-day engagement will provide a platform for all stakeholders to review the next phase of preparations, including infrastructure development, logistics, security planning, and operational frameworks required to successfully host the tournament.
The PAMOJA bid a joint hosting arrangement between the three East African nations was awarded the rights to stage the 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, marking a historic return of the competition to the region.
CAF officials are expected to hold separate and joint sessions with representatives of the host nations to ensure timelines are met and standards are aligned with international requirements.
The meetings are seen as a critical step in ensuring that the East African trio remains on track to deliver a successful and memorable tournament in 2027.
