BENIN CITY — Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Chief Emmanuel Iyase and Agbogun Emmanuel Sunday as Special Advisers in his administration.
The appointments were announced in a Government Special Announcement dated September 3, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
Chief Emmanuel Iyase was appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Traditional Matters (Edo South), while Agbogun Emmanuel Sunday was named Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Society Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
According to the statement, the newly appointed officials are expected to bring their experience, expertise and commitment to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities and in furtherance of the administration’s developmental agenda.
The appointments take immediate effect.
