BENIN CITY — Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of four commissioners in his administration.
The Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., announced the changes in a Government Special Announcement dated September 11, 2026.
According to the statement, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue was redeployed from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae moved from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to the Ministry of Water Resources.
Hon. Andrew Momodu was redeployed from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, while Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa moved from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The state government said the reshuffle was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and promote greater efficiency in the management of state affairs.
The redeployments take immediate effect.
Governor Okpebholo urged the affected commissioners to bring their experience and expertise to bear in their new portfolios and remain committed to the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
