The magistrate & the court registrar conived to doctor our evidence & records of proceedings in other to favour the accused persons because they are lawyers.Even though the the police & procecution had prima facie evidence (handwriting expert report) indicting the accused persons.

The 2 witnesses to the purported will also claimed not to be aware thus one of them a tainted witness (Jonah sojah) died in the course of the trial.

The trial magistrate went ahead to give judgement when there was a notice of appeal before him without even informing the prosecution in a case that was held last about 2yrs ago because of a court injunction by a higher court.

The magistrate also went away with the judgement without giving copies of it to the parties , all to delay the procecution from going to appeal. The magistrate turned a blind eye to all the appeals by the prosecution that court records have been tampered with and that any judgement given based on this doctored record will amount to grave injustice.

The magistrate even went ahead to insult the police verbally in open court in the presence of journalists covering the case & the audience to their amazement. The magistrate in his judgement blamed the police for not being able to prove their case. The Edo State magistracy is in total shambles with this kind of a magistrate. The police will certainly appeal this case for the sake of justice.

An Oredo Magistrate Court sitting in Benin City, has discharged and acquitted one Barrister Mrs. Mercy Sheidun and another on allegations of conspiracy and forgery brought against them by the Commissioner of Police, Edo State.

The nominal complainant in the case, one Mr. Ekundayo Sheidun, while testifying in court by himself and through his witnesses, alleged that the Will of his late father, Engineer Kolawole Sheidun, was forged by Barrister Mrs mercy Sheidun and the other defendants.

In judgement delivered by the presiding Magistrate, F.E.N. Igbinosa (senior magistrate, special grade) after painstakingly reviewing the evidence on both sides, resolved that the complainant failed to prove the allegations against the defendants in the case and accordingly discharged and acquited all the defendants of the offence of conspiracy and forgery of a Will brought against them.

The case lasted for almost 9 years having been filed around 2013.
