A two-storey building has collapsed in Ilorin, Kwara State, leaving at least eight people feared trapped under the rubble.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday at PopoGiwa, Madalasi Zhogoro area, off Sijikobi Road in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.
Among those feared trapped are nursing mothers and children, according to reports.
Officers of the Kwara State Fire Service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and residents are currently carrying out rescue operations at the scene.
Officials of the State Emergency Management Agency are also at the site as efforts continue to rescue those trapped in the building.
