Searching for can't or O'Brien returns nothing, even though posts containing those terms exist. Searching without the apostrophe works.
Looks like the apostrophe is breaking the query somewhere.
I respectfully disagree on one detail. In my setup the opposite held true, though I suspect it comes down to community size.
You can pin a topic from its action menu — look for "Pin to space." A space can hold more than one pinned topic; pinned items sort above the rest while keeping their own order.
